Planning on a Budget

To all you bride to be's out there, Congratulations! However, keep in mind that if you want to have a typical wedding with a ceremony and reception, the average wedding in the U.S. cost $30,000. This doesn't even include the cost for the couple's romantic honeymoon! Planning on a budget is incredibly important since it's so easy to go over budget. The "harmless little extra costs" do add up, and they add up very quickly! Hence, here's a couple of do's and don'ts to prevent you from going over budget:

DO: Go to your site cake baker. Most venues have excellent bakers and will work with your vision of the perfect cake. This will save you a ton of extra money than if you go to an outside baker. Why? Because at the reception, the onsite staff are responsible for cutting the cake, serving it, and cleaning the dishes--this means more work for the staff! On the other hand, the cost for a cake from the onsite baker will already cover the cost of cutting, serving the cake along with any other costs related to the cake!

DON'T: Get overly complicated and oversized wedding invitations! While the one with pop out bouquet of flowers might go perfectly with your reception designs, the postage stamp alone per card will cost you around $2. That adds up! Skip the fancy boxed up invitations and go with something that can be more easily shipped.

DO: Plan ahead and set aside extra budget for the film crew. Most video crews are booked for a certain time at a certain price and will charge you overtime by the hour. If you have ever been to any wedding before, you know that almost all weddings never start on time or end on time.

DON'T: Think that the price on the dress is the final price of the dress. Every woman is beautifully shaped in her own way. This translated in terms of wedding dresses is that most of the time, the dress will need to be altered to fit the bride perfect. A simple hemming of the dress may cost up to $100. We'll let you use your imaginations as to what a full bodice alteration may cost.

DO: Forget about tradition and have both the bride side and the groom's side of the family chip in for the wedding! This is not the 1900's anymore where a beautiful 3 tiered wedding cake could only cost $10. A simple wedding cake can take you up into the hundreds nowadays.

DO: Just have fun! Girl, this is your wedding we're talking about! While it's important to stick to your budget, don't over stress over something if it's priced slightly higher than you had planned for. Remember, you only have this one most important day of your life (well, some of us have more than that), so make the best out of your situation and just smile!

Maternity Evening Dresses aside from tall, plus sized or petite women, there are also anyone who has hourglass, apple, pear or rectangle shapes.
in order to make sure that each bridesmaid looks her best,Wedding Dresses 2011 then they should each be capable of express their very own personal style and wear dresses that complement their individual shapes. Read on for a few helpful pointers where bridesmaid dresses are ideal for specific body shapes.
the Apple Shape
the apple shape features a larger torso and a smaller lower body. these women often appear heavier above the waistline, but have slim legs and arms. This means they have the opportunity showcase their legs while placing less focus on their waists.
the apple shape is also referred as plus sized, so when looking at selecting a bridesmaid dress, several embellishments for instance a ruffle can help produce a slim look. It's always best to avoid two tone dresses while they tend to shorten the entire silhouette. Halter styles or A-line tops with skirts cut around the bias can be quite slimming. V-Necks and wrap tops also can result in the waist look smaller, while empire cuts draw attention away from the midsection. If a bridesmaid features a noticeably full waist, try using a dark colored sash to really make it look narrower.
the Pear Shape
the pear shape has large hips, thighs and legs, but a little chest muscles. Dresses that flatter this body type draw awareness of the torso and out of the lower half.  Bridesmaids dressed that are textured, or those with wide necklines are fantastic for the pear shape. Pear shaped bridesmaids ought to choose halter necks as they can broaden shoulders, generating the illusion of smaller hips.
Skirts ought to be A-line or slightly flared, gathered or pleated in both the leading and also the back to complement fuller hips. a small cinching of the waist will complete the look.
the Hourglass Shape
the hourglass has got the much coveted curvy shape with a highly defined waist. Their shoulders, bust and hips are a comparable size though. This shape is also characterized by a complete buttocks and slender legs. Dresses that most flatter this physique accentuate the natural waist while balancing the hips and thighs.
This shape applies well to soft and fitted garments and dresses that can be tailored to showcase the waist. V-neck, sweetheart or scooped necks are all complementary around the hourglass figure.
the Rectangle Shape Rectangular shaped bodies have a tendency to carry how much evenly throughout the frame. for this reason, they have the most difficulty finding clothing that really fits. but a layered dress can provide dimension and volume in all the right places. This figure also works well with prints and detailed fabrics.
Rectangular shapes could be petite or tall, slender or broad. the important thing to dressing this shape is always to create the illusion of the waistline. having the capacity to define a waist will give the entire impression of curves. Empire styles along with wrap styles are fantastic choices, while stiff fabrics needs to be avoided.
Tall or Petite
Tall women can break their length with the addition of a sash or some other detail at the hips or waist. This will also provide definition between bottom and top. it is possible for tall women to blend to a wedding ceremony without being bold. One tip is to fit another bridesmaids with higher heels.
a petite bridesmaid needs a dress that may elongate her shape. Short or knee length skirts fully trust a wrap or shawl to create the petite bridesmaids look taller. Floor length dresses are not recommended, however they can be performed when the bridesmaid wears high heel pumps.
It's rare that the bridesmaids will all be the same height, weight and shape. So you shouldn't be afraid to blend the cuts and styles of your bridal party dresses. Each dress should accentuate the individual bridesmaid's best features to make her feel as comfortable as you possibly can.
Knowing your bridesmaids' body shapes may be the first and a lot important step in finding beautiful marriage ceremony dresses. take time to engage with your bridesmaids about what they're trying to find and the things they feel most confident in. Remember, the more comfortable they're about the wedding day, the greater fun they've got. And happy bridesmaids lead to wonderful memories and ideal wedding pictures.|||Sandy Darson can be a freelance writer who writes about weddings, often focusing on wedding fashion for example bridesmiad gowns.

Tips On Plus Size Mother Of The Bride Dresses

Traditionally, the plus sized woman was hard pressed to find anything that was sophisticated and fashionable. Full figured women found themselves confined to archaic fashion “rules” that dictated they cover as much flesh as possible in yards of dark, drab fabric. It seemed that designers were more interested in hiding women who were not model slim instead of celebrating their beauty.
It is time to do away with the outdated laws of style and step into the light as proud, plus sized women. Now designers are taking notice of this popular customer base and are designing not only special event fashions, but casual ensembles that are trendy, fun, light and beautiful. Mother of the bride dresses are emerging as colorful and fashionable. Gone are the days of drab, dreary clothing that resembled tents and hid as much flesh as possible.

Bottom Heavy

The bottom heavy body shape is fuller in the hips and thighs while more narrow in the shoulders. This is also known as the pear shaped body.
Dresses that are nipped in at the waist and flare slightly over the hips and thighs work well for this body type. If you have pretty arms and shoulders, go sleeveless. If you are self conscious about your arms, wear a sheer shawl or cover. An empire dress will draw the eye up and away from the problem areas, but it can make you look like a mother to be if you are not careful.

Top Heavy

Also known as the apple shaped body type, the top heavy figure has narrow hips and slimmer legs while the upper body had heavier breasts and the midsection is softer.
Go for two piece ensembles such as a blouse and skirt, sleeveless sheath or a princess seamed dress. Don’t be afraid to show some skin, bare your arms or shoulders. You may even try a slit in the skirt to show a little leg.
